On Tuesday, March 12 the Natural Resources Management Act was signed into law by President Trump after passing with strong bipartisan support in the House and Senate. The Act will designate 1,340,000 acres of new wilderness, 367 miles of new scenic rivers, and 2,600 miles of new national trails. It also will create four national monuments and expand three national parks, making it one of the most important conservation-oriented legislative milestones in decades. Ted Turner, who has distinguished himself as a conservation visionary and advocate for our public and private lands, shared his thoughts on “the land we love” to CNN.
